    (Tony talks about the new concept drawings of the from Amiga Inc. and notices their similarities to the iMac/PCTV and Newton/PalmPC combination. He also notes they recently hired one of the people responsable for Apple's hardwriting recognition software used in the Newton.)

    (A long and detailed story about Jeff Schindler, vice president of strategy and product management at Amiga Inc., and his history with the Amiga computer. He started out at Western Michigan University with a VIC-20, moved to Zenith, then Gateway and fineally to Amiga. Includes the picture seen on the right as well as one of Ryan Rarick using an Amiga to edit video at the Kalamazoo Community Access Center.)

    (In reporting on the new wave of MP3 material coming available, Kim mentions that MP3 players are available for the Amiga and other platforms.)

    (Mike reports a letter to the Amiga community by Jim Collas, the president of Amiga. In it he talks about support for the classic machines, increased attendence at Amiga computer shows and says Amiga OS 3.5 should be out by August at the latest.)

    (After talking about M$'s latest software, the author talks about alternative technologies like iMac, Linux and Amiga systems.     (During this article on the latest Intel related scandles and legal issues, Owen mentions a rumor that possibly the new Amiga will be based on the Transmeta chip, and IBM's new copper-chip based technology that will allow speeds in the gigahertz range. Note: I would love to be able to get a $400 mini-tower AmigaOS 5.0 running on a Transmeta/copper-chip and a QNX Neutrino kernal for Christmas.)
