Explanation of the conversion: Although this write-up is meant to represent Ramjet in his Generation One form, it also works for his Cybertonian and Generation Two forms.

History (Dreamwave comics): Ramjet was recruited as a Decepticon under the leadership of Megatron in his war against the Autobots on the planet Cybertron. Ramjet became a member of the elite Seekers under Aerospace Commander Starscream. He often worked with fellow Seekers Dirge and Thrust.

Shockwave lead the Decepticon attack on the Autobot capitol of Iacon 8.2 million years ago. Among his troops were Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Bludgeon, Brawl, Chopshop, Dirge, Frenzy, Octane, Onslaught, Ramjet, Tantrum, Venom and Vortex.

Ramjet After the Great Shutdown ended, Ramjet was reformatted in the form of an Earth-style jet.

Defeated by the Autobots on Cybertron, Shockwave was forced to set up a new secret headquarters in the wastelands of Cybertron, with Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Dirge, Ramjet and Thrust following him. Shockwave completed work on his new warrior, Sixshot. Megatron returned to Cybertron with three clone warriors and the Predacons and was able to defeat Shockwave. Shockwave was kept alive, but restrained. All Shockwave's warriors except Blitzwing, who was destroyed, joined up with Megatron in his plan to invade the Earth (Transformers: Generation One III #9).

Mid-air collisions are Ramjet's specialty. Whether the target is an opponent or not makes little difference - Ramjet will crash him or it just for the pure fun of it. He's built to survive such crashes, which is probably his greatest asset, since hardly anyone in flight would expect a jet fighter to purposely try to collide with him. These one-sided jousts make him a terror without equal in the skies. As he often boasts, "The skies are my castle, and I like to live alone."

Trivia: On the Transformers television show, the voice of Ramjet is played by actor Jack Angel. Ramjet was also released as a Generation Two toy. Ramjet shouldn't be confused with Ramjet II, a Mini-Con jet, Ramjet III, a Decepticon jet in the Transformers: Universe line, or Ramjet IV, a Decepticon jet in the Transformers: Cybertron line.

Ramjet Powers: Ramjet is very stong and tough. In jet form, Ramjet can fly at speeds of up to Mach 2.8 and has a nose module that can absorb and withstand an impact with a 3 foot-thick concrete wall at a speed of 1500 mph. The rest of his body is not quite as durable, but is still very resistant to impact and he has a very high pain threshold. He can go as fast as Mach 2.8. He carries two cluster bomb missile launchers and two laser beam rifles.

Weaknesses: Ramjet's tendency to aim at neutral targets often results in his creating new enemies, a consequence about which he rarely shows concern. Although very resistant to impact, too many crashes can take their toll on Ramjet's body, particularly his internal mechanical workings.
