Explanation of the conversion: I decided that Blaster can be either giant or tiny at will, but he usually chooses to be large in robot form and tiny in cassette form. The Always On limitation on his size Multipower means he MUST choose to either be tiny or giant, no in-between. The two sets of characteristics represent his abilities in his two sizes.
History (Dreamwave comics): When civil war broke out on the planet Cybertron between the Autobots and Decepticons,
Blaster joined the Autobot cause.
When Decepticon leader Megatron and Autobot leader Optimus Prime disappeared in an accident with a space bridge, the Autobot and Decepticon
forces splintered into smaller factions (Transformers: War Within - The Dark Ages #1).
Six million years ago, Ultra Magnus united the Autobot factions and lead them to victory over Decepticon and Ultracon
factions, although Starscream's Predacons continued to fight. Megatron returned to Cybertron in command of the clone
forces of the Aerospace Extermination Squadron and took over Cybertron (Transformers: War Within - The Age of Wrath #1).
Blaster was among the small group of Autobot who escaped capture and fought to defeat Megatron (Transformers: War
Within - The Age of Wrath #2).
After the end of the Great Shutdown, Blaster was reformatted to be able to take on the form of an Earth style portable
radio. He joined the Autobot underground resistance to the rule of Shockwave, and joined
Optimus Prime in the return of the Autobots to control of Cybertron.
History (Marvel comics): Beachcomber, Blaster, Cosmos, Perceptor, Powerglide, Seaspray and Warpath were part of an
Autobot team on Cybertron in the Earth year 1986. They battled the Decepticons lead by Straxus over the Space Bridge and
the Autobots were stranded on Earth (Transformers #18).
They were then captured by Circuit Breaker and her Rapid Anti-Robot Attack Team, taken to her lab and
then disceted (Transformers #21-22).
Circuitbreaker then captured Autobots Air Raid, Fireflight, Silverbolt, Skids, Skydive and Slingshot. Using the parts from
the captured Autobot all she created a giant Autobot with herself in control, striking a deal with them that if they would
co-operate she would let them go. Circuitbreaker then used them to attack the Decepticon Battlechargers Runabout and
Runabout who were attacking the Statue of Liberty. After defeating the Decepticons Circuitbreaker the Autobots were
released (Transformers #23).
Blaster was among the united Autobot and Decepticon forces who opposed Unicron's assault on
the planet Cybertron in 1991 (Transformers #75).
Blaster likes to turn it up loud. That goes for the way he does everything: fighting, talking, playing -
living! If Blaster is involved, he makes his presence known. He is in the forefront of any situation, but aside from the
things he normally does in the course of being an Autobot, he has a special passion: rock 'n' roll. His ability to monitor
radio transmissions has exposed him to many Earthen musical styles, all of which he finds interesting, but it is rock music
- good, hard and loud - that really sparks his circuits. He'd much rather be lost in the sound of a searing guitar solo
than fight Decepticons. However, when called upon he will do what he must for the Autobot cause, albeit reluctantly at
times. As Blaster likes to point out, "I hate changing channels in mid-song."

Trivia: On the Transformers television show, the voice of Blaster is
played by actor Buster Jones. The toy of Blaster is similar to the toy of
Twincast. Blaster was also released as an Action Master with a flight pack.
Powers: Blaster is very strong and agile. He can assume to form and shrink to the size of an AM/FM stereo cassette
deck. In addition to performing the normal functions of a deck, he can receive radio signals for all frequencies. He can
detect signals with power outputs as weak as a millionth of a watt. His ability to transmit radio signals up to 4000 miles
makes him the communications center for the Autobots. In robot form he carries an electro-scrambler gun, which emits
powerful waves of electromagnetic energy that disrupt the operations of all but the most heavily shielded electrical
devices. In theory, the gun should interfere with the minute electrical impulses of the human nervous system, but Blaster
has never used the gun on a human.
In robot form Blaster sometimes utilizes a standard Autobot jet pack.
Blaster leads a number of Autobots able to transform into cassettes, which can be storred inside him, such as Eject.
Weaknesses: Blaster's most obvious weakness is for rock 'n' roll. He will walk unwittingly into a trap for the
promise of hearing some new tunes. Radio static has the effect of hampering his operation and even, if strong enough,
knocking him out completely. Blaster lacks a vehicle mode, so he is much slower that his fellow Autobots. To make up for
this he usually shrinks down and gets a ride from one of them.
